"Fountain for Tomorrow"
The fountain for tomorrow is a work in progress.
It is planned for the work to never be finished.
My hope is for it to shift subtly and develop as a more organic process, leaning on new global warming encounters to form the "watery" piece. Informed to date by numerous geographies and cultures from the Veneto to sinking atolls in the pacific; the samples are grabs of voices and rhythms from peoples whose islands or lands are disappearing into the water.
The music to date was composed and recorded in Australia, Venice, France and New Guinea.
This piece is intended to loop around regurgitating fragments from these dying spaces. As a amorphous memorial to disappearing worlds.

Concept: John Phillips and Emily Humphries;
