AILAE is a European based international non-profit organization, which aims at promoting and establishing a strong relationship between European countries especially at cultural and artistic levels. AILAE is equally interested in the role that European culture plays in the world especially in its relationship with the regions of traditional European migration. Exchange in this case is to be read primarily in the sense of facilitating a reciprocity dimension between the two regions.

The AILAE is an itinerant, nomadic concept in that it aims at building cultural events that see Australian and European arts and languages in contact, facilitating such exchange without a centralized base.

"Outside the Palace", out there and everywhere is where learning, exchanges of language, arts and culture happen.

AILAE emerges from a desire to:

Bypass over structured approaches to art and culture production to truly awaken an awareness of each other at grass roots level in Europe and in the countries of traditional European migration like Australia, USA and Canada..

Promote in partnership with suitable agencies, organizations, individuals and groups, events and programs that assist European cooperation on many levels as well as opening to an Australian-European more profound rapport

Facilitate artists of the European regions to meet and work with other European artists. Facilitate the creation of possibilities where such exchanges may involve the Australia Pacific and the American regions.

Prevent dying arts to be definitely lost facilitating exchanges whereby artists from Australia, USA, Canada and Europe can cooperate to learn each others crafts

Help developing language and arts programs and courses, which although striving to offer excellent quality are not elitist but as accessible as possible.
